“It’s not often you hear a voice this powerful debut in the world of Celtic song,” – Hearth Music review: This Distant Shore

After growing up surrounded by folk music, Molly Hebert-Wilson earned a BFA in Musical Theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Since then, she has worked as an actress, musician, singer, songwriter, voice teacher, and vocal coach for over a decade, with styles ranging from folk to classical to powerhouse belting. A 2014 NERFA DJ pick with Mist Covered Mountains, Molly’s outstanding voice imbues Irish, French and English language songs with character, expression, and depth. Currently she sings and plays bass in the Philadelphia area and beyond with bands Rare Spirits, Mist Covered Mountains, and Valentina Sounds. As a teacher and vocal coach, Molly has spent the last decade working with students to unlock the full potential of their voices. As an instructor, her focus is to teach concrete steps to strengthen vocal support and sing without tension, as well as teaching tips and tricks to unlock the nuances of a variety of vocal styles. As a bass player, Molly has played both upright and electric bass for years, accompanying herself as a singer as well as playing for folk and dance performers. With an album of original material in the works, Molly is excited to continue bringing the joy of singing and playing to audiences and students across the Northeast and beyond!
