Playing a guitar part that has a groove while also singing the song lyric requires a lot of coordination. When we play guitar, we often only look at one hand at a time: the chording hand, or the strumming/picking hand. What happens when we put them together, and then also sing?
In this class we will focus on learning a couple of right-hand percussive patterns while adding a moving chordal riff in the left hand. We’ll learn some songs that use these techniques. (And then we practice singing the song!) We will have fun while we make our guitar playing an engine of forward energy.
