In this 1-session class, participants will create drawings while listening to different blues songs. It is a form of visual journaling that is totally stress free. One does not have to be an artist to participant. There is no pressure to make an aesthetically correct drawing. It is all emotionally based interpretations of what you are hearing/feeling as you listen to the music. There will be a mixture of instrumental and vocal blues songs.
Participants will be using pen and ink or color markers, and a small 5×7 or slightly larger mix media drawing tablet. This technique also frees one from worrying about mistakes. It helps you to experience a song differently, which motivates and gets those creative juices flowing. This will be a fun and insightful class, where participants can freely tap into their emotions and enjoy!
