(Practice, Focus, Repetition, PATIENCE, Perseverance)
The harmonica is truly a unique instrument. It’s small and it’s portable. It can fit in the palm of your hand and also your pocket. Because the harmonica produces sounds on the in and out breath, this process makes the harmonica the only instrument where you breathe the music. Learning to play well is like learning to speak a new language. It’s a matter of practice and repetition. It’s more than playing the right notes. It’s about tone, inflection, expression & emotions. This class will focus on the beginning basics of learning how to play in the classic Blues style of I.IV.V. We will focus on how to properly Hold the harp, Bends, First & Second positions, Chord Rhythms, Tongue Blocking and more.

Please bring either a Special Twenty, Lee Oscar or a Marine Band harmonica in the key of (A). Let’s get started!
