Dan is the Director of Creative Media & Technology at ZUMIX, an award-winning youth music program in East Boston. He teaches live sound, studio recording, music production, and equipment repair & maintenance to youth and adults. He was the A/V Project Manager for ZUMIX’s LEED gold certified Firehouse facility and consults in studio construction and A/V educational facilities. (Projects include: Girls Inc., Teen Empowerment and Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center.)
A Certified Avid Pro Tools Instructor, iZotope endorsee, and expert level Propellerheads Reason user, Daniel is a member of the Audio Engineering Society.
Dan is also a multi-instrumentalist (bass, drums, keys, guitar, voice) He began studying music at age 4 with his older brother, internationally acclaimed pianist/composer and Steinway artist Donal Fox.
Dan has done sound for Tim Gearan, Debo Band, Lake Street Dive, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, US Coast Guard Band, the Foundation Movement, and many more.
Studio clients include: Audible.com, Pepsi, Discovery Channel, Billy Wylder, Debo Band (Sub Pop Records), Zach Sherwin (Warner Music/Comedy Central Records), and the Goosepimp Orchestra.
