In the post-war years, country blues guitar styles made the journey into midcentury Chicago Blues styles… becoming amplified along the way. This one-part class will cover the basic guitar rhythms of Jimmy Reed and Eddie Taylor, who were famous for songs such as “Baby, What You Want Me to Do,” “Bright Lights, Big City,” “You Don’t Have to Go,” and “Big Boss Man.” We will also explore 8 and 12 bar blues forms in this class.
