In this intermediate-level class we will take the old song, “Blues Stay Away From Me,” and break it down to make playing this type of fingerstyle easier. The class will consist of a lot more than just the one tune, but using that tune helps a player who wants to do some fingerstyle to incorporate this style with their present playing abilities. Students do not need to already be fingerstyle players, but they should know basic chord shapes, and be able to move smoothly from one chord to another.
