This class will focus on cross harp and blues playing. Students should already be able to get some notes out of the harp and be at least a little comfortable already. We will cover finding the correct harp for the song, bending notes, 12 bar blues form using chords and a boogie-woogie bass line, a train song, some classic blues licks, improvising ideas, and questions from the class.
Please acquire two harmonicas in the keys of C and A. I would recommend the Hohner Special 20 or Lee Oskar. (Make sure it is a diatonic harmonica and not a special tuning, tremolo, or chromatic harp.)
