In this two-part class, students will learn basic bending, lipping, and tonguing techniques, as well as different rhythm patterns to accompany the 8 and 12-bar form. Touching on 8 & 12 bar blues forms and other harmonica techniques such as cupping, vibrato, and call/response to enhance your playing. We will use simple melodies to play clear, clean, single notes, creating a good tone from the instrument.
Students should bring a 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the key of A. Lee Oskar major diatonic or Hohner Special 20 harmonicas recommended.
